Cesto
Winner of the professional category of the Salva Design Award, the Cesto armchair is inspired by Brazilian culture and features typical regional basketwork for the backrest. The handcrafted work is represented in the cylindrical backrest with braided leather strips. Its seat features a smooth, cornerless shape, empolying leather in a way that the surface becomes uniform, highlighting the shape and texture of the backrest. The connection between the contemporary and the ancient is shown in the details and through the use of 3 materials: metal, wood and leather. The armchair is made with a swivel base, giving it the flexibility to turn it to any side of the room.
